Organic Lawn and Garden Care is a relatively new industry.
So, depending on where you live, you may still have difficulty finding a company that services your area. Some companies, whose core business is based on chemical treatments, advertise 'eco friendly' treatments. We consider their practices suspect and we do not endorse them.

When using the term "orgamic landscaping", we infer that NO synthetic-chemical products are used in any application. We also imply that all practices employ 100% biologically sound products.
When searching for 'organic' service providers, therefore, we highly recommend that you scrutinize their services to confirm that they ONLY practice this type of land management and offer NO chemical-based treatments.
Typical ecologically sound treatments can include the use insects such as nematodes, ladybugs, lacewings to attend to grubs, aphids and other 'insect pests'. Organic land managers may also treat weeds withi ecologically benign herbicide solutions like fatty-acid based sprays. Other treatments can include non-chemical fertililzers, compost material and 'over-seeding' and aerating to improve the health and condition of your lawn. They may also suggest (as we do) that you consider other native groundcover species like crown vetch and various wildgrasses to add to or replace your lawn.
